Sommelier services are provided to restaurants, banquet halls, inns, corporations and private individuals for day-to-day operations as well as special occasions and events.
These services range from wine selection, wine list and beverage programs and wine and food pairings.
In the capacity of acting sommelier I will also provide actual wine service in an engaging, entertaining, professional and memorable manner.

Personal Wine Buyer

Providing personalized consulting and buying services for dinner parties, events, special occasions, cellaring and investment purposes.

$80/hr consulting
$40/hr plus expenses buying (shopping time)

Food and Beverage Pairing

Not sure which wines or beverages to serve with your meal, dinner party, special event, or function? The Zen Gourmand will prepare wine pairing recommendations for you based on the various aspects of the occasion as well as criteria such as personal preferences, themes, private inventories, and allocated budgets etc.

Social or Culinary Wine and Spirit Tastings

Organizing wine tasting events including wine selection, tasting notes and necessary stemware as required at locations of your choice or at our facilities.

$45 pp up, depending on beverage selection and extras

Personalized guided winery tours

Organizing and conducting personalized winery and vineyard tours for small groups or individuals including transportation, tasting room visits, meeting the wine makers and exquisite lunches or dinners at fine winery restaurants. Regional tours are available in the Niagara, Peele Island as well as the Prince Edward County regions.

Cooking classes/demonstrations

Cooking classes and demonstrations are offered to small groups of individuals, spa staff, as well as private clients. The Zen Gourmand specialize in International cuisine with attractive, modern presentations.

Rates do not include food costs.
Fees vary according to group size and requested length of class/demo.

Commercial Menu Consulting

A complete menu consulting and developing service, including recipes and presentation, is available to hotels, restaurants, spas, and individuals. Menus are customized to accommodate budgetary and dietary requirements and tastes. Special attention is being paid to the availability of ingredients in specific locations.

Speaking engagements

The ZenGourmand is available for highly entertaining or educational speaking engagements or presentations on many culinary, wine and spirit related topics.
